A guitar method based on the principles of Francisco Tarrega comprising of four historical and technical volumes: Emilio Pujol: Escuela razonada de la guitarra : basada en los principos de la técnica de Tárrega Type: Spanish : Book Publisher: Buenos Aires : Ricordi Americana, ©1954. It sounds like you are already a guitar player so I’m sure I don’t need to mention how important practice is. Emilio Pujol Vilarrub (or Emli 10 September 1886 21 November 1980) was a Spanish composer, guitarist and a leading teacher of the classical guitar. I’m told scales are good warmup exercises, with alternating fingers. At least it helps me while slow practicing. Our beginner brains and fingers don’t have muscle memory and our brains don’t spatially know where our fingers are instinctively yet, so planting will help that. Something about playing slow helps the brain build neurons or something, I’m told lots of masters make slow play part of their practice sessions. It doesn’t mean you can’t play faster but make slow practice a part of your sessions. Ok now take your idea of slow and cut that in half. Some good beginner tips that I use as a beginner myself from my teacher: The feedback you will get is really helpful and the teacher likely has a variety of student material to source from for you. But really the best advice is to take lessons from a good instructor if you can afford to do it. I like the Christopher Parkening book 1 and 2.
